Just how I felt

I'm selfless,
patient,
and oh so insecure. I couldn't lose control again. And at times...

I just want to be alone.

I had to handle the worst for oh so long...
You did admit that you were wrong...
But you never took it to heart...

I TRIED to be there for you, through your worst
Why couldn't you be there through mine?

So I lost a friendship, the last thing you could take away
Few days later, you found old photo's of us,
Wrote comments to make me remember that day
I gave you the benefit of the doubt, issues I tried to discuss
Put you 'stayed the course' with your ignoring ways

I have forgiven everything, cut the last tether
of why or how anything could ever keep us together
Try to remember, my mind wonders over flowers and feathers
Changed my mind over, from forever to never
